Q: Do I need to bring my own choir book?

A: It would be wonderful for each person to have their own copy, but there are two other options. First, we will have a few choir books at the rehearsals to purchase for about $9 each. We also have three-ring binders with legal copies of all the songs for you to borrow.

Q: Is there an age limit for singing in the choir?

A: We recommend youth and adults join the choir, however, several musically focused children did beautifully last year. Most were with their parents. If a younger person has a strong and independent desire to sing and are willing and able to work two hours on six Sunday evenings, they are most welcome.

Q: What about children who may not be able to sit through 90 minutes of the sing-along?

A: We recommend that attendees be 8 years old or older; but if your little ones want to come (or must come), a large room in the building will be arranged for you and your children during the sing-along. The video/audio will be piped in so no one will entirely miss the action. Tables will be set up with Messiah coloring pages and colored pencils to keep little hands and hearts occupied as they are flooded with Handel’s wonderful music and the spirit of Christmas. You will be responsible to stay with your children.
